Instruction in voice by a qualified private teacher. Hours to be arranged with instructor. Students registered for Private Voice Lessons will be charged an Applied Music fee of $400 per course to offset the additional costs of private instruction, in addition to the College's standard tuition and fees. This fee is 100% refundable prior to the first day of the term, and non-refundable on or after the first day of term. A minimum of twelve 40-minute lessons is required per semester for 1 academic credit. Students are required to present a performance examination at the end of each term. Prior experience is not necessary. Credit in this course will not satisfy Fine Arts requirements in any degree program. Prerequisite: None.

Surveys the development of rock and roll through a basic narrative of American culture, politics, and economic history. Examines race, gender, class, technology, and the music business as it relates to the creation of rock music in the United States and globally. Learning activities include critical analysis of audio and video recordings, attendance at live concerts of various rock and roll styles, group discussions, and research projects. Note: Students wishing to use this course to fulfill the SUNY General Education requirement in American history must have earned an 85 or higher on the US History Regents exam. Three class hours.

Prerequisites: NUR 111 and BIO 152 with a grade of 'C' or higher and NUR LC1 with a grade of 'CP'. Prerequisite or co-requisite: BIO 153 with a grade of 'C' or higher. Co-requisite: NUR 119 and NUR LC2.

Prerequisite: NUR 111, NUR LC1, and BIO 152 with grade of 'C' or higher. Prerequisite or corequisite: BIO 153 with a grade of 'C' or better. Co-requisites: NUR 112 and NUR LC2.

Concepts related to professional development, assessment, clinical decision making and care of individuals experiencing changes in health status are introduced. Emphasis is placed on nursing judgment and critical thinking. Classroom and online content are provided as well as designated nursing laboratory activities. Pre-requisites: Current LPN nursing license in good standing or documentation of scheduled licensure exam.

Concepts related to nursing care of individuals experiencing temporary changes in health status are introduced, building on concepts introduced in NUR128. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision making, nursing judgment and prioritization of patient care to promote optimal wellness. This course provides classroom and online content as well as designated nursing laboratory activities. Advanced dosage calculation skills are included in the course. The course activities prepare the student for entry into the clinical sequence of second year nursing courses. Pre-requisites: NUR 128
