Introduces the student to concepts related to the care of diverse individuals experiencing physiologic and psychological health status changes. Emphasis is placed on health promotion and management. The competencies of patient centered care, safe practice environment, collaboration, healthcare informatics and management of care continue to be developed. This course provides classroom and online content. Prerequisites: BIO 153, NUR 112, NUR 119 and with a grade of ‘C’ or higher, and NUR LC2 with a grade of ‘CP’. Prerequisite or co-requisite: BIO 201 with a grade of ‘C’ or higher. Co-requisite: NUR 209 and NUR LC3.

Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate compassionate, coordinated care by partnering with the patient/family/community to support individualized health care needs and identified outcomes.
