The office of Campus Safety responds to all criminal or emergency calls on the Batavia campus. All full-time officers have completed an A.A.S. degree or better and have experience in the field of law enforcement. All officers must be licensed by the State of New York under the Security Act, attend on the job training, first aid, CPR and AED training, and receive a minimum of 40 hours of continuous training each year to update their skills. Campus safety is responsible of enforcement of all federal, state, county laws as well as all college regulations. Each Campus Center has its own set of safety precautions.
The GCC office of Campus Safety is not responsible for the security and safety of College Village. College Village, through the GCC Foundation, maintains a separate security staff. College Village staff can be reached at 585-343-0163.
