Summer Library Orientation for ESL Students
On Tuesday, June 26, the library hosted a library orientation program for our ESL students who will be full-time GCC students in the fall. The fifteen students, all of whom are from Japan, enjoyed learning about the library's resources and used their newfound skills to participate in a library scavenger hunt. During the orientation, students were asked to add arrows to a map of Japan to mark their hometowns, and it was interesting to note that most of the students were from southern, rather than northern, Japan. The library extends a warm welcome to our foreign students, and we hope to see you visit the library often during the next year.
