A Tale for Three Counties Announces 2011-2012 Book Selection

The call book cover

This year's A Tale for Three Counties book selection will be The Call, by Yannick Murphy, which was recently named as one of Publisher's Weekly's "Best Books of 2011."

According to the Harper Collins publisher description of the book, "The daily rhythm of a veterinarian’s family in rural New England is shaken when a hunting accident leaves their eldest son in a coma. With the lives of his loved ones unhinged, the veterinarian struggles to maintain stability while searching for the man responsible. But in the midst of their great trial an unexpected visitor arrives, requesting a favor that will have profound consequences—testing a loving father’s patience, humor, and resolve and forcing husband and wife to come to terms with what “family” truly means."

The GCC A Tale for Three Counties book announcement took place last night in the Rosalie "Roz" Steiner Art Gallery.  For photos of the event, see below.

Books will be available for sale in the library tomorrow.  (Students may receive free copies of the book during the Spring semester – stay tuned for more information.)
