Artist Statement: "This is a photo of my good friend's dog named Zoey. I was put in charge of watching the house and taking care of Zoey. For a whole week I was bored at a house that did not have Internet. So what better to do than practice my photography skills. So after bribing Zoey with a few too many treats I was able to capture the essence of Zoey being Zoey, a hungry machine!"
Artist Statement: "This is a tribute to the shooting in Las Vegas that happen a few weeks ago. I used an airsoft gun as a subject because it was a major headline for the news. Fire arms are the main subject that the masses look at in times of crises such as this one in Las Vegas so I wanted to focus the attention on firearms. The frozen bubbles that surround the submerged pistol represent the energy, confusion, and all of the emotions that are felt by people all around. I used a purple light to represent the flashy colors from the Vegas strip. I wanted to make a photograph that would represent the event without it being a direct photograph of the event or of the media on tv or on the Internet."
