Was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada but moved to the US at 5 years old. Upon graduation from the Honeoye Falls-Lima School went on to Monroe Community College to pursue her Associates Degree with Honors.
Employed by the Honeoye Falls – Lima Central School District for over 10 years, she has served in several capacities including Administrative Assistant, Deputy Tax Clerk, Human Resources and Substitute Teacher. She joined GCC in 2012 as a Lima Campus Center Advisor/Associate.
She believes student success is attained by establishing goals, proactive engagement and a positive learning environment. She is convinced that, “Life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it.”
Debbie volunteers extensively in her community for the Lima Crossroads Committee, and enjoys promoting the region. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, Zumba and getting outside with the kids.

Diane Palmer began working at GCC in 2007 as an academic advisor and adjunct instructor of history at the Albion Campus. In 2014 she transitioned to the Batavia Campus Center Advisement Office and more recently, in 2016, joined the Student Success Center team.
Prior to working in higher education, Diane worked for Warren County Social Services as a caseworker and for Medina Home Healthcare as a social worker. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Houghton College and a master’s degree in history from SUNY Brockport. Diane serves on the board of trustees for the Cobblestone Museum in Albion and coordinates concerts in her community that benefit the Albion High School Alumni Foundation.
Diane is passionate about student success and believes GCC is a great place for students to learn and grow. She appreciates the student-centered environment of the college and the accessibility of faculty.
Outside of work, Diane is an avid knitter and reader, and she loves to travel. Diane and her husband Keith have two grown children, Kristen and Ryan.

Has been with Genesee Community College since 2005 in the role of an Admissions Specialist with a focus on both domestic and international student recruitment. Sputore’ s career in higher education began at Western Illinois University where she taught undergraduate courses for two years as a graduate instructor. While teaching Sputore discovered a passion for higher education and she has been dedicated to the profession ever since.
In addition to her on-campus commitments, Sputore served on the Executive Board for the State University of New York College Admissions Professionals (SUNYCAP) organization as well as committee chairperson for three years. She was given the highest honor of the President’s Award for her outstanding service to the organization. Additionally, Sputore represented GCC in the Rochester Area Colleges Admissions committee for eleven years, serving both as chairperson and sub-committee chairperson over the years.
A native of Georgia, Sputore earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education from Western Illinois University.
Carrie believes that it is the supportive and caring learning environment that sets GCC apart from other colleges. She is honored to be able to help students achieve their goals and believes that students will be successful if they are proactive and goal-oriented.
Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, watching Georgia football, and is interested in photography, crafting and baking.

Becky began her career at GCC in the Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs Office as Data Entry Clerk in 2010. Her responsibilities included helping students complete the FAFSA and TAP applications, student loans, verification, appeals and much more. She has served on various GCC committees, including the President’s Advisory Council, GCC Alumni Committee, and the College’s 50th Anniversary Committee.
An Alumni of GCC, Becky holds associates in degrees in both Business Administration and Liberal Arts. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Keuka College where she was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society.
Outside of work, Becky enjoys running 5k’s and attending concerts & sporting events. Her favorite thing to do is watch her son, Ethan, play football and basketball. He’s often on her mind when working with students. “If I were leaving my son at college, I would want to know that he’s in good hands. I like giving parents the peace of mind knowing that their son or daughter is going to be okay here.”

Is no stranger to assisting students having begun her GCC tenure in 2012 in the Business Office as a Student Financial Services Advisor. She is a graduate of the College with an Associate Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management and she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a concentration in Tourism from The College at Brockport.
Lourdes was born in Masaya, Nicaragua and is fluent in Spanish. She has worked as an English translator, Teacher Assistant and is also a Notary Public.
She believes a successful student manages their time, is dedicated, and has the ambition to learn. She credits the “homey” environment of the College as her favorite part of working at GCC.

Tarry began her career at GCC in 2006 with the Student Records Office. She has several years of prior work experience as a town justice court clerk and as a licensed property and casualty insurance account representative.
Tarry is a GCC graduate. She is also an honors graduate of Hilbert College in Paralegal Studies. Tarry later continued her education at SUNY Canton where she earned a Bachelors degree with highest academic honors in Legal Studies. As an academic scholar, Tarry has been named to the National Dean’s List, has received invitation to the Golden Key International Honour Society, and is a SUNY Canton Heritage Award recipient.
As a Student Success Coach, Tarry would like to recognize all students for taking the sometimes difficult and frightening step to earn a college education. She believes a college education can be empowering to individuals, communities and the world.
Tarry is a native of Genesee County and a graduate of LeRoy High School. She enjoys bird watching, photography, reading, and admiring fast cars in her free time.

Kelly is returning to GCC after spending 7 years at Hilbert College where she served as the Compliance & Student Services Coordinator and Head Women’s Soccer Coach. Her administrative focus was NCAA Compliance and the implementation of the Athletic Academic Monitoring Program.
While at Hilbert, her women’s soccer program was awarded the AMCC Team Peak Performance Award for earning the highest cumulative GPA in the conference 5 times. In 2016, Kelly was named the AMCC Coach of the Year.
Starting in 2007 during her time as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at GCC, she guided the team to two consecutive NJCAA Division III Women’s Soccer National tournament appearances. She was named NSCAA Mondo Junior College National Northeast Coach of the Year and NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010. In 2015, her 2010 team was inducted into the GCC Athletic Hall of Fame. In conjunction with her coaching responsibilities, she was also an adjunct in the Health and Physical Education Department.
A native of Endicott, New York, Starchok earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Services from the University at Buffalo and a Master’s of Science in Education from Canisius College.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her fiancé and daughters, cooking, and coaching soccer at the youth level.

Jenny started her career at GCC in 2005 as a writing tutor. During her experience, she had the opportunity to meet many of the school’s international students. In 2013, she enthusiastically became GCC’s International Student Advisor in which she also serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
During her career in higher education, she has also worked as an adjunct English instructor at GCC and Medaille College. Jenny attended Nazareth College for both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English with minors in Philosophy and Religious Studies and her master’s degree in Liberal Studies.
Jenny enjoys working with international students to help them be successful academically, as well as appreciates the opportunity to learn about the student’s diverse backgrounds. She believes that “diversity plays an important role in learning and is one of the wonderful aspects of the college community.”
In her free time, Jenny loves spending time with her husband and two children, having family movie nights, going camping, and visiting museums.
