"Once you fall under his influence, there is no telling where you will end up." Dionysos, God of Theatre, Wine, and Revelry, has to come bring his subversive rituals to Thebes. But when the King spurns him, he vows to bring war upon the city. Anne Carson's new version of the Euripides classic, bakkhai weaves this harrowing myth and its tragic end into the 21st century.

Quick comic vignettes tell the story of two 30-something Africa-American middle class women looking for love, clothes, dignity and more in a world that only sees stereotypes. Directed by Jamie Arena as part of her Master's degree thesis with Regent College.

Audience participation will be encouraged with students from Anastasia's Spotlight Dance Studio on stage. All proceeds support GCC's Forum Players.
