Trainers Needed

The Business and Employee Skills Training (BEST) Center at Genesee Community College is looking for exceptional trainers!  Positions are for independently contracted assignments, and are dependent upon client needs.

Software Applications Opening

Minimum of 3 years training/teaching experience in a classroom setting and experience customizing curriculum to client needs with verifiable evidence of effectiveness required.  Must be flexible and possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, have an understanding of adult learning practices, and be, at minimum, proficient in Microsoft Office.

Human Resources, Leadership Development or Supervisory Training Opening

Desired industry experience includes manufacturing, healthcare, non-profit, government or public agencies, or banking.

Minimum of 3 years training/teaching experience in a classroom setting and experience customizing curriculum to client needs with verifiable evidence of effectiveness required.  Must be flexible and possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, have an understanding of adult learning practices, and demonstrate knowledge in any of the following Human Resources topics including Employee Handbooks, Legal Compliance, Leadership & Organizational Development, Performance Management, Coaching, Interpersonal Communication, Contract Negotiation and Labor Agreements.

The BEST Center’s Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be granted for requests less than 3 business days before a course start date. Example: For a Thursday evening course, request must be made by close of business Monday.
  • Requests must be made by email, phone or walk-in during normal business hours. Please call 585-345-6868 or email: bestcenter@genesee.edu.
  • Refund requests with extenuating circumstances after a course starts will be evaluated on a case-to-case basis.
  • The College reserves the right to cancel a course due to inadequate enrollments or emergency.
