Fall 2018: Last 8 Weeks
|March 05||2018 Fall Registration*|
Students who have earned at least 1 credit hour at Genesee Community College are eligible to register for Fall courses beginning on this date.
|March 12||2018 Fall Registration|
Fall registration is open to all students.
|July 27||Fall 2018 Tuition Due Date|
Tuition for the Fall 2018 semester is DUE no later than Friday, July 27, 2018. Payment is due upon registration after July 27th.
|August 24||Fall 2018 Residency Forms Due|
Failure to submit a Residency Application and/or Certificate to the Student Accounts Office by August 24th will result in having your tuition charges “doubled.” ALL students MUST submit a Residency Application/Certificate each year. Contact the Student Success Center at 585-345-6805 for more information. Follow the instructions on the Student Accounts webpage.
|October 01||2019 Spring Registration*|
Students who have earned at least 1 credit hour at Genesee Community College are eligible to register for Spring courses beginning on this date.
|October 08||2019 Spring Registration|
Spring registration is open to all students.
|October 09||Fall 2018 Fin Aid Bookstore Charges – Last 8 Week Session|
You may begin using your excess Fall 2018 Financial Aid to purchase books beginning Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Your aid must be on your account to do so.
The last day to purchase books using your aid is Tuesday, October 30th, 2018.
|October 14||Fall 2018 Last day to drop for 100% Refund – Last 8 Week Session|
Classes begin Monday, October 15, 2018. You will receive a 100% tuition refund for dropping from the Fall 2018 Last 8 Week Session PRIOR to October 15th.
Students that drop ON or AFTER Monday, October 15th, will be charged in accordance with the SUNY Tuition Refund Policy.

All Last 8 Weeks sections begin on this day.
|October 15||Fall 2018 25% Tuition Refund – Last 8 Week Session|
You will receive a 25% tuition refund (75% charge) for dropping beginning Monday, October 15th through Sunday, October 21st.
There is NO tuition refund for the Fall 2018 Last 8 Week Session for withdrawing AFTER October 21st.
|October 17||Last 8 Weeks - Last day to add without signatures|
This is the last day students can add a Last 8 Weeks section without the instructors approval.
|October 22||Last 8 Weeks - Withdrawal period begins|
Student withdrawing from a Last 8 Weeks class beginning on this date will receive a grade of "W" on their transcript for the course.
|November 09||Spring and Summer 2018 IP Deadline|
All instructors must submit a Grade Change Form by this date for students who were issued a grade of "IP" in the last Spring and Summer Semester.
|November 13||Fall 2018 Last Day to Obtain a Residency Certificate – Last 8 Week Session|
Counties are only required to issue residency certificates for the first 30 days of a semester. Tuesday, November 13th is the last day your County is required to issue a certificate for the Last 8 Week session.
|November 14||Last 8 Weeks - Withdrawal period ends|
This is the last day for Students withdrawing from a Last 8 Weeks class to receive a grade of "W" on their transcript for the course. After this date they will receive a grade of "F".
|November 15||Last 8 Weeks - Grade of "F" begins|
Student withdrawing from a Last 8 Weeks class beginning on this date will receive a grade of "F" on their transcript for the course.
|December 03||Web Grading begins|
Web Grading is opened for Faculty submission of Grades beginning on this date.
|December 07||Last Day of Classes (for Full Semester & Last 8/12-Week Session)|
|December 07||Last Day of Classes (Full Semester and Last 8-Week Session)|
|December 10||Finals begin|
This is the first day of Final Exams.
|December 12||Finals end|
This is the last day of Final Exams.
|December 14||Fall web grading ends - grades must be entered by 12:00 pm|
Faculty must have grades submitted on the web by 12:00pm on this day.
