Fall 2017: First 8 Weeks
|July 28||Fall 2017 Tuition Due Date|
Tuition for the Fall 2017 semester is DUE no later than Friday, July 28, 2017. Payment is due upon registration after July 28th.
|August 14||Fall 2017 Fin Aid Bookstore Charges - Full Semester & First 8 Week Session|
You may begin using your excess Fall 2017 Financial Aid to purchase books beginning Monday, August 14, 2017. Your aid must be on your account to do so. The last day to purchase books using your aid is Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
|August 20||Fall 2017 Last day to drop for 100% Refund –First 8 Week Session|
Classes begin Monday, August 21, 2017. You will receive a 100% tuition refund for dropping from the Fall 2017 First 8 Week Session PRIOR to August 21st.
Students that drop ON or AFTER Monday, August 21st, will be charged in accordance with the SUNY Tuition Refund Policy.
|August 21||Fall 2017 25% Tuition Refund – First 8 Week Session|
You will receive a 25% tuition refund (75% charge) for dropping beginning Monday, August 21st through Sunday, August 27th.
There is NO tuition refund for the Fall 2017 First 8 Week Session for withdrawing AFTER August 27th.

|August 23||First 8 Weeks - Last day to add without signatures|
This is the last day students can add a First 8 Weeks section without the instructors approval.
|August 25||Fall 2017 Residency Forms Due|
Failure to submit a Residency Application and/or Certificate to the Student Accounts Office by August 25th will result in having your tuition charges “doubled.” ALL students MUST submit a Residency Application/Certificate each year. |August 27||First 8 Weeks - Census - last day to add or drop|
This is the last day a student can drop a First 8 Weeks section and not receive a grade.
|August 28||First 8 Weeks - Withdrawal period begins|
Student withdrawing from a First 8 Weeks class beginning on this date will receive a grade of "W" on their transcript for the course.
|September 19||Fall 2017 Last Day for Bookstore Vouchers|
This is the last day you may use your excess Fall 2017 Financial Aid to purchase textbooks.
|September 19||Fall 2017 Last Day to Obtain a Residency Certificate – First 8 Week Session|
Counties are only required to issue residency certificates for the first 30 days of a semester. Tuesday, September 19th is the last day your County is required to issue a certificate for the First 8 Week session.
|September 20||First 8 Weeks - Withdrawal period ends|
This is the last day for Students withdrawing from a First 8 Weeks class to receive a grade of "W" on their transcript for the course. After this date they will receive a grade of "F".
|September 21||First 8 Weeks - Grade of "F" begins|
Student withdrawing from a First 8 Weeks class beginning on this date will receive a grade of "F" on their transcript for the course.
|October 02||2018 Spring Registration*|
Students who have earned at least 1 credit hour at Genesee Community College are eligible to register for Spring courses beginning on this date.
|October 09||2018 Spring Registration|
Spring registration is open to all students.
|October 14||First 8 Weeks - Ends|
All First 8 Weeks Classes end on this date.
|November 10||Spring and Summer 2017 IP Deadline|
All instructors must submit a Grade Change Form by this date for students who were issued a grade of "IP" in the last Spring and Summer Semester.
|December 15||Fall web grading ends - grades must be entered by 12:00 pm|
Faculty must have grades submitted on the web by 12:00pm on this day.
|April 13||Fall 2017 IP Deadline|
All instructors must submit a Grade Change Form by this date for students who were issued a grade of "IP" in the last Fall Semester.
