Animal Clinic Externship 2
Familiarize the student with the veterinary technician’s responsibilities in the day-to-day operation of private /non private practices. Students spend time at private/non private practices observing in the areas of general facility management, anesthesia, routine treatments, radiology, laboratory procedures and surgery. As a result of observation of the veterinary technician in a practical applied atmosphere, students will become more familiar with the scope of the veterinary technician as a professional member of the veterinary team. Prerequisite: VET201 with a grade of ‘C’ or higher or BIO124, BIOLB4, VET223, and VETLB3 with a grade of ‘C’ or higher. Corequisites: VET 234, VET LB4, VET 245, VET LB5, VET 246 and VET LB6.
