Solar Business and Finance

Solar Business and Finance is a comprehensive examination and orientation to working in the solar electric / photovoltaic industry. Topics will include marketing and sales; electricity rates, savings, and incentive structures; financial cost benefit analysis and financing options. Orientation and preparation for industry certifications in the Solar industry are provided. Pre-requisite: PVO 101.

Course Learning Outcomes:

1. Complete an accurate cost benefit analysis of a solar electric system as compared to a public distributed electric supply.
2. Prepare a marketing package for a residential photovoltaic system.
3. Propose multiple financing options for a photovoltaic installation.
4. Discuss the benefit of industry certifications for professional success and advancement.
5. Prepare a resume for an entry level position in the solar industry.
6. Discuss and demonstrate professional behaviors and craftmanship.
