Real Estate Law
Examines the law of real property including the common types of concurrent ownership, surveys, easements, encumbrances, zoning ordinances, real estate contracts, mortgages, deeds, title examination, title insurance, closing preparation, closing documents and leases. Prerequisite: PLG 114 or the consent of program director.

8. Explain some essential requirements of a valid residential real estate contract.
9. Describe the various types of deeds commonly used in modern real estate transactions.

11. Apply the Code of Professional Responsibility to a legal problem.
12. Describe the procedures involved in conducting a title examination.
13. Describe the types mortgage loans available for the purchase of real estate.
14. Troubleshoot a variety of potential title problems and explain how to solve them.
