Cybersecurity Ethical Hacking

Master ethical hacking methodology used in a penetration testing or ethical hacking situation. Provides a hands-on training environment employing a systematic ethical hacking process; teaches how to scan, test, hack, and secure target systems; covers the phases of ethical hacking, reconnaissance, gaining access, enumeration, maintaining access, cloud computing, and cryptography. Prerequisite: CSN 221 or permission of instructor.

Course Learning Outcomes:

1. Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in computer systems or networks.
2. Use social engineering techniques to gain access to systems or networks.
3. Test web applications for security vulnerabilities.
4. Test mobile devices for security vulnerabilities.
5. Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
6. Apply ethical hacking techniques, ensuring activities adhere to ethical principles, and responsible vulnerability reporting.
