PE Competitive Fundamentals Courses:
ATH228 - Competitive Baseball Fundamentals IV
Catalog Description: Focuses on advanced baseball skill development, competition techniques and strategy for highly skilled, second-year participants in competitive men’s baseball. One and one-half class hours. Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor.
Lecture: 1.5 hrs.
Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Complete a final exam demonstrating knowledge of the strategies of competitive men's baseball.
2. Select either an offensive or defensive strategy or formation and write a 3-5 page paper demonstrating knowledge of the selected topic.
3. Analyze one's personal goal achievement both in sport performance and academic performance.*
* This course objective has been identified as a student learning outcome that must be formally assessed as part of the Comprehensive Assessment Plan of the college. All faculty teaching this course must collect the required data and submit the required analysis and documentation at the conclusion of the semester to the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.
