PE Competitive Fundamentals Courses:
ATH206 - Competitive Men's Soccer Fundamentals II
Catalog Description: Introduces plans and strategies for success and optimal experience for the first-year player in intercollegiate athletics specific to the sport of men’s soccer. One and one-half class hours. Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor.
Lecture: 1.5 hrs.
Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Develop goals for both sport performance and academic success.*
2. Submit a 2-3 page paper on the history of soccer.
3. Design an offseason conditioning program.
* This course objective has been identified as a student learning outcome that must be formally assessed as part of the Comprehensive Assessment Plan of the college. All faculty teaching this course must collect the required data and submit the required analysis and documentation at the conclusion of the semester to the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.
