Genesee/Orleans/Wyoming Community Services Directory: A reliable resource with approximately 600 Help Agencies that serve Genesee, Orleans & Wyoming Counties
Emergency Assistance Clearinghouse: Provide a centralized database to local food pantries to eliminate duplication of services.
Information & Referral: Link callers to over 1,400 Help Agencies. (i.e. Support Groups, NA,AA & Al-Anon Meetings, Food Pantries, Transportation, Clothing, Prescription, Rent & Utility Assistance, Housing, Counselors/Therapists, Mediation/Legal, Parenting Classes, etc.) We’re the place to call when you don’t know where to call.
On-Call Services: Provides On-Call linkage to Genesee County Mental Health Services, GCASA, Rape Crisis Services of Genesee, Orleans, Livingston & Wyoming Counties, YWCA Domestic Violence Program, ACCORD Corporation Domestic Violence Program, Orleans County Office for the Aging Ombudsman & Caregivers Programs and the Orleans County Juvenile Adjustment Services.
Education & Outreach: Provide presentations on RAP Services, Crisis and Suicide Intervention and Active Listening.
Assistance Relay Services: Connect callers with Alcoholics Anonymous & Al-Anon Contacts and Salvation Army & Orleans Community Action Representatives when in housing, food & prescription crisis situations.
Crisis Intervention: Develop strategies with callers that assist them in regaining their coping skills.
Suicide Intervention: Provide services that turn potentially dangerous situations into opportunities for personal growth and a renewed faith in living. Also provide support to friends and family who are concerned about the suicidal behavior of a loved one.
