It’s Not Too Late to Take Spring Classes at GCC

January 28, 2014

Batavia, New York — If you think you’ve missed out on a chance to take spring classes at Genesee Community College, think again! While the full spring semester began January 13, 2014, there’s still time to register for late start classes which begin Monday, February 10, 2014. These classes run for 12 weeks and are offered at five of GCC’s seven campus locations as well as online.

Classes in the 12 week session are easily accessible and run mornings, afternoons and evenings, on campus or online. Busy students can pick the right time, day or place that meets their needs and their schedules. The spring 12 week session boasts more than 35 courses in a variety of dynamic subjects including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Web Development, Popular Cinema, Lifeguarding, Public Speaking, Principles of Business and College Composition to name a few.

Late start classes are offered at the following GCC campus locations and online:

“One of Genesee Community College’s leading priorities is providing readily available access to higher education, and late-start courses help us achieve this goal. Full semester, 15-week courses can be a challenge for some people,” Dr. Virginia (Ginny) Taylor, vice president for Student and Enrollment Management Services said. “Our twelve-week and eight-week sessions are a perfect alternative, especially for those juggling the responsibilities of family care or even part- or full-time jobs,”

To apply online for classes at any Genesee Community College campus location, new students should go to http://www.genesee.edu/Admissions or call the Admissions office at 585-345-6800.
