About the Library
The Alfred C. O'Connell Library includes over 86,000 volumes of general circulation books and reference works, 200 periodical subscriptions, and several daily and weekly newspapers. 67 online research and information databases provide access to the full text of 14,150+ periodicals, 5,500+ electronic books, and thousands of other types of information resources in a wide variety of topic areas.
Information Desk & Reading Room

Reference, Instruction, Inter-library Loan, and Reserve services are available.

The Library provides an automated circulation system and an online web-based library catalog system.

A circulating collection of compact discs, DVDs, cassettes, phonograph records, and audio tapes is also available.

The library maintains an extensive web site with information about library services, links to electronic and internet resources, instructional materials, user guides, and resources designed specifically for Genesee's distance learners.

Periodicals Lounge

The library provides an inviting research and study space for the college community, and includes a state-of-the-art information literacy learning lab, group study rooms, and a wide variety of seating and study options.

Wireless internet access is available. Special equipment and assistance are provided throughout the library for students with disabilities.

The Genesee Community College Archives are housed within the library.
