Environmental Studies

Environmental Studies

The growth of jobs in the environmental field is driven by public policy, which compels companies and organizations to meet environmental laws and regulations. Understanding the issues involved in protecting the environment-degradation, conservation, recycling, and replenishment-are central to the work of people in the environmental field. Learning how to address those vital environmental issues forms the core of Genesee's Environmental Studies program. In addition to rigorous classroom instruction in mathematics and sciences, your course work will involve learning in labs and field studies. Graduates often go on to baccalaureate studies in environmental studies or science.

Prerequisites: Regents-level high school chemistry, biology, and mathematics (through precalculus).
