Professional Development Series
Each year the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality students attend a joint professional development conference hosted by Monroe and Genesee Community College. The event brings in experts in the field to enhance the classroom learning and share their knowledge and experiences.
Speakers and panelist represent all sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry and cover topics such as customer service, career success, critical thinking, how to dress for success, business etiquette, sales and communication.
2007 Professional Development Workshop
We were fortunate to have Norma Holland, co-anchor of the 13WHAM news, as our keynote speaker at the 2008 conference. Ms. Holland shared her expertise in the field of communication with the group during the afternoon session.
