CARE Awards

CARE would like to congratulate Donna Blake, Professor of Human Services. She received the first-ever Genesee Community College CARE Award for Service Learning for her outstanding, lifetime commitment to service learning.

Via creative assignments and a hands-on attitude, Professor Blake has instilled a love for learning and a sense of civic engagement in her students. She has also served as a role model for new faculty hoping to model her successful service learning strategies. CARE presented Professor Blake with a lovely statue to commemorate her achievements during the thirty-five years she has taught at Genesee Community College.

This award is the first of its kind at GCC, and we hope to be able to distinguish one faculty member each academic year.
