Services for Students with Disabilities

Genesee Community College ensures the accessibility of all programs, services, activities, and facilities to qualified students with disabilities, as well as offering individuals with special needs services, equipment and most importantly, a caring environment.

Services are coordinated through the Center for Academic Progress (CAP).

In accordance with Sections 504, each student is personally responsible for meeting with the CAP to identify needs, provide appropriate disability documentation, and arrange for reasonable accommodation. Guidelines are available. All information given to the CAP office pertinent to a student's disability is completely confidential.
