Coaching Certification Requirements for All New York State Non-Certified Physical Education Teachers
Genesee Community College provides courses that permit participants to satisfy the commissioner of education's requirements for coaching certification. Among the required courses are: First Aid/CPR, Philosophical Principles & Organization of Athletics, Health Sciences Related to Coaching, and Theory and Techniques of Coaching. Persons interested in coaching at the high school or junior high school level are encouraged to contact the Physical Education Office at the College for additional information.
