Welcome Alumni! The Genesee Community College Alumni website is dedicated to keeping you connected and up-to-date about college happenings. Within this site you can update your contact information, learn about alumni and college events, request transcripts, reminisce about your days at the College, and stay connected with fellow alumni. As the website develops, features will include class notes, an alumni email director, online giving, and much more.
The 2009-2010 school year has begun and there is much good news to report
- Enrollment records have been set once again. We are up approximately 400 students, which is 7% ahead of last year.
- Genesee now has 20,000 alumni.
- We are one of two SUNY colleges to not increase tuition.
- The development of some solid new career programs such as Vet Tech, Med Tech, and Sleep Disorder Technician has begun.
- We have greatly expanded our nursing program.
- A 5+3 agreement with Empire State College has been signed.
- Major upgrades of both hardware and software have been made, student email has been moved to Microsoft, great strides have been made in upgrading the Campus Center and ACE web pages, and we have added 225 new PC’s for student use.
- A multimillion dollar Title 3 Grant which includes $400,000 for a matching endowment challenge program has been received.
- We will have a number of new security cameras and a “blue light” emergency phone system set up in the parking area.
