Subsidized Stafford Loans are need-based loans suggested only after all other grant and loan work resources have been pursued. Students are not responsible for the interest accrued on the loan while the student is in school. Payment and interest do not have to be paid as long as the borrower is enrolled at least half-time.
Unsubsidized Stafford Loans are similar to Subsidized Stafford Loans, except that they are not need-based loans and students are responsible for the interest accrued on the loan while the student is in school.
