Distance learning is great for working adults who need to fit college courses and degree pursuits into busy lives with career and family responsibilities... and who work well on their own.
Genesee
distance learning courses are highly interactive and academically rigorous.
They are taught by top Genesee faculty and they carry the same academic
demands as conventional courses, but with more flexibility. Genesee instructors
fill in where technology can't: they direct your study, answer your questions,
and help you apply the learned information.
Distance learning courses are regular college credit courses. Genesee faculty use technology to teach concepts, supplement textbook information, and enable communication. Your course may use a combination of textbook, study guide, e-mail, course management software (accessible online), video programs, audio programs, on-campus labs (attendance requirements are in your syllabus), remote library services, and other media.
Genesee Community College distance learning courses meet degree requirements the same as identically-numbered conventional courses for Genesee Community College and other college degrees.
