Move-In Day

Move in Day Is August 22, 2009.

College Village Check-In will be conducted at the GCC Student Union this year! If you have any questions please contact the College Village Business Office at 585-343-0163.

To make everyone's move-in day a pleasant experience, we have put together a few suggestions on what you should or should not have with you! The Office of Residence Life does provide toilet tissue, light bulbs and trash bags. Note: All electrical items must be UL approved.

Things to Bring

  • Linens
  • Pillows
  • Sheets
  • Computer (must have a surge protector)
  • Alarm clocks
  • Utensils
  • Lamps
  • Microwave
  • Coffee maker
  • TV's (13 inch recommended)
  • Radio
  • Calling cards
  • Iron
  • Ironing boards

  • Heating pads
  • Water beds
  • Candles
  • Knives
  • Firearms
  • Dart Boards
  • Halogen Lamps
  • Fireworks
  • Explosives
  • Air conditioned units

  • Refrigerators larger than 3 cubic feet

  • Grills (charcoal, propane, George Foreman-type)

Note: The items listed above are only a limited number of things banned from the residence halls. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations as listed in Housing Manual/Code of Conduct will lead to disciplinary action, including suspension and/or expulsion from College Village housing.
