Safety Office

College Village provides 24 hour management and security. All Safety Officers have completed required security guard training and are licensed by the state of New York. Safety Officers provide escorts from the campus to the resident housing, acting in conjunction with the campus department of public safety. College Village Safety Officers also monitor visitors to the residence buildings. Visitors are required to stop at the safety office and register with an Officer prior to entering any residence suite. Safety Officers also conduct foot patrols of the entire College Village property during their shifts and enter each building during these patrols. As is stated in the Safety Office Mission Statement, our main concern is the welfare of the residents

First Aid

All Safety Officers are trained in Red Cross basic first aid and CPR. Complete first aid kits are always available

Community Policing

College Village maintains a proactive policy toward providing a safe environment for our students. All officers are trained to anticipate problems before they manifest themselves and take action as necessary. The safety office maintains an open door policy and all students are encouraged to stop in with any concerns they may have concerning their security.

Professionalism

College Village Safety Officers are not mere security guards. The staff is trained to provide the highest level of service possible to our students. We honestly feel that the services we provide enable our residents to more fully enjoy the college experience without undue concern over their home environment.
