Preparing for GenESIS Registration
If you want to be sure that the courses you select are appropriate for you and fit your career and or educational goals, you should see an academic advisor. Log into GenESIS
Login on the College's web site: www.genesee.edu from home or from a College computer lab (T207, D205, or any Campus Center.)
Click on the GenESIS icon - Login to GenESIS; your user name is your first initial plus the first seven letters of your last name. Your password is your birth date (mmddyy - 6 digits)
View your personal information:
To insure proper communication with the college, update your mailing address and telephone number.
- Select Personal Information
- Select View Address & Phones
- Review Personal Information for accuracy.
View your holds:
Genesee has a variety of holds that restricts specific processes. If you have a hold, contact the originator to clear any holds restricting registration.
- Select Student Information
- Select Student Records Information Menu
- Select View Holds
View your financial aid status:
- Select Student Information
- Select Financial Aid Information Menu
Print your academic transcript:
Verify that the major listed on your transcript is correct. If you wish to change your major you must go to the Advisement Center (Batavia campus, Room C-222.)

Print your degree evaluation:
- Select Student Information
- Select Student Records Information Menu
- Select Degree Evaluation
Register for desired courses:
- Select Student Information
- Select Registration Menu
