FRE 102: Elementary French 2

This is a continuation of Elementary French I designed to develop French language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Emphasis is placed on developing the ability to use and understand French in context. Instructional strategies include lecture/discussion, group and individual work, oral exercises, presentations, video, reading and writing assignments. The majority of instruction will occur in French. Additional laboratory supported practice will be required. Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to express themselves orally, read newspaper articles and other authentic materials, understand oral input, and write compositions at the high novice level. Placement in language courses will be determined by the instructor. Three class hours Prerequisite: FRE 101 or equivalent
