2012 Honorees

 LYNN (JENSEN) NORTHUP
Women's Basketball Class of 1993

Lynn Jensen was an All-American shooting guard for the Genesee Community College women's basketball program during the early 1990's. She led her teams to the NJCAA National Tournament both years at GCC. During her sophomore season, Jensen recorded five, 30 or more point games and recorded five three-point baskets in a single game as a freshman and a sophomore. Jensen attended Houghton College and is now a Physical Therapist for the Avon Central School District. She currently resides in Byron-Bergen and is married with three children.

 BEN GUILIANO
Volleyball Coach, 1978-1987

Ben Guiliano coached volleyball for nine years at Genesee Community College. He led nationally-ranked teams during seasons that he coached and won three conference championships and one regional championship. He started the men's volleyball program and also coached softball at GCC. Currently the head volleyball coach at Keuka College, Guiliano has won more than 540 matches in his coaching career and has directed NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA teams to a total of 13 conference championships and four regional titles. In 18 years of coaching women's volleyball, his record is 355-256. His overall record is 546-396. He has coached at Pfeiffer University, Creighton University, St. Andrews Presbyterian College and Rochester Institute of Technology.

 TERRY GEORGE
Men's Basketball Class of 2003

Terry George was a two-time All-American and a two-time Region III Player of the Year for the Genesee Community College men's basketball program. A member of the 2002-2003 team that was inducted into the Genesee Athletic Hall of Fame last fall, George is currently the all-time leading scorer in College history with 1,370 career points. He was a member of the program's first team to represent GCC in the NJCAA National Tournament as a freshman and reached the national tournament in both of his seasons as a Cougar. After GCC, George continued his academic and athletic career at The College of St. Rose. George returned to Genesee in 2007 as an assistant coach to the men's basketball team and was named the interim head coach for the 2011-2012 season. He will return as head coach for the 2012-2013 season. George currently resides in Batavia.

 MARY LOREE
Women's Basketball Class of 1979

Mary Loree was a two-year starter for the Genesee Community College women's basketball, field hockey and softball teams. She was a member of the 1978 Women's Basketball team for the Empire State Games and reached the NJCAA National Tournament while at GCC. Loree worked a number of sports camps held at GCC during the summer of 1978, including the United States Field Hockey Association National Olympic Trials. After graduating from GCC, Loree attended Lenior-Rhyne University in North Carolina.

Loree served in the United States Army for 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant in 2009. At one point, she was stationed at the White House and traveled with the President, Vice President and First Lady of the United States providing classified and unclassified communications worldwide. Loree currently resides in Virginia.
