Genesee Community College's 48th ceremony commemorates and rewards all the diligent effort put forth by you and signifies a new beginning as well.  We hope that you will take part in the ceremony so that you may remember your time here at Genesee Community College and celebrate with family and friends.

Genesee Community College gymnasium
Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm
Doors will open for general seating at 12:00 pm
*Tickets are required for admission into the gymnasium.  Un-ticketed guests may view the ceremony in the Stuart Steiner Theatre

Students, please plan to line up in the cafeteria no later than 12:15 pm.

The length of the ceremony will be approximately one hour and thirty minutes. A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow the commencement exercises in the Forum.

Information for Students

To participate in commencement:

  • File your Degree Application - Log into Genesis to fill out and submit your degree application.  Must be filed by Friday, May 6 to walk in the ceremony.
  • Cap, Gown & Diploma Cover - Purchase your commencement package (cap, gown and diploma cover) at the bookstore at the Batavia Campus. 
  • Commencement Tickets - Pick up your tickets in the Student Activities office (Room S115) after you purchase your commencement package at the bookstore. Students must present proof of commencement package purchase (bookstore receipt) to receive tickets.
  • Rehearsal – Attend rehearsal in the Cafeteria at the Batavia Campus, May 20 at 10:00am.
