Genesee Community College is located just outside the City of Batavia in upstate New York, centered between the greater metropolitan areas of Buffalo and Rochester. The Batavia campus and College Village, the student residence community adjacent to the main campus, are nestled amid the scenic hills and farmland of the quiet Genesee County countryside. Yet, less than 40 minutes away are two urban areas teeming with cultural, sporting, and civic opportunities.
In addition to the main campus in Batavia, Genesee Community College also has six Campus Centers located in Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties. With seven campus locations in four counties and more than 5000 students, Genesee Community College has become one of the most highly-respected community colleges in the United States. Since its founding in 1966, it has become an important part of the prestigious State University of New York (SUNY) education system.
The Batavia campus is just 5 minutes from Exit 48 of the New York State Thruway and there are GCC signs posted along the route indicating each turn. Maps and directions to each Campus Centers are available.
