Circa 1978-79, John and his fiance, Liz Rosenberg, briefly rented this house on Main Street in Lanesboro, PA--a mile north of Susquehanna, PA--soon after John began to teach at Binghamton University, and had decided to not reside in the city of Binghamton.  From Lanesboro, John and Liz moved to the house they bought on Coleridge Road, Susquehanna, PA.  Lanesboro stands on a promontory elevation above the Susquehanna River, flowing southeasterly both behind and below this lovely nineteenth-century home.
