The John Gardner Society and Genesee Community College invite you to attend The Second Annual John Gardner Conference. The conference will provide scholars, teachers, and other interested parties an opportunity to gather and exchange ideas about Gardner, his works, and approaches to teaching his works.

In addition to presentations and workshops, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in any of the following events:

• Visit the University of Rochester’s John Gardner Special Collection

• Attend a performance of James Still’s musical adaptation for the stage of

In the Suicide Mountains

• Take a Sunlight Dialogues tour of Batavia

• Bid in a silent auction on items ranging from first editions to meals at some of the restaurants mentioned in The Sunlight Dialogues

• View video tapes and listen to audio tapes of Gardner

• View a display of John Napper’s Sunlight Dialogues lithographs

• Hear excerpts from operas Gardner collaborated on with Joseph Baber

• Hear Joseph Baber discuss that collaboration

• Purchase copies of Gardner's journal Lies! Lies! Lies! to be published in April
