Theatre Arts Academy

The Theatre Arts Academy is a 12-college credit program of study that gives high school students the opportunity to sharpen their theatre arts skills and develop valuable life skills.  Trained by seasoned professionals, the Academy combines classroom theory with extensive hands-on experiences that refine individual talents and develop creativity in front of and behind the curtains.

• Fall Academy courses will from August 27, 2012 to December 14, 2012, 2:10 p.m.-3:30 Monday through Friday:
  • Fundamentals of Acting (THE 103)
  • Stagecraft (THE 106)

• Spring Academy* courses will run from January 22, 2013 to May 11, 2013; 2:10-3:30 Monday through Friday:
  • Developing a Character (THE 203)
  • Introduction to Theatrical Design (THE 210)

The deadline for registration is August 10, 2012 but space is limited, so register now 197 KB.  A recommendation from your counselor is required in the form of a letter or email to ace@genesee.edu.
