Men's Swimming & Diving Program Overview
The men’s swimming program at GCC is a member of the NJCAA Region III. There are twenty men's programs in the country, ten of which are a member of Region III. The men's swimming and diving team is on the rise at GCC. They had their highest finish ever in the Northeastern District meet last season and are coming off back to back top three finishes in the non-scholarship division at the National Championships.
2008-2009 Season Wrap-Up
The Genesee Community College men’s swimming and diving team finished the 2008-2009 season with a record of 2-2, their strongest finish in four years, while setting two individual records. M. Josh Sullivan set a new record in the 400 individual medley, finishing with a time of 4:42.30. In the diving events, Jessie Root broke the one-meter, six dive record with a score of 262.30. Head Coach Scott Hunsinger looks forward to the 2009-2010 season and hopes to build upon the successes of 2008-2009.
