    Program Overview

The men's soccer team competes at the NJCAA Division III level. The Cougars are also part of the Western New York Athletic Conference. Many players have gone on to have successful academic and playing careers at both NCAA and NAIA four year schools. The team has won three WNYAC championships. Since 1993 the Cougars have placed six players on the NSCAA and NJCAA All-American Teams.

Men's Soccer 2010 Fall Season Preview

After a year of transition the Cougars are looking to be back in the regional polls for the 2010 fall season. Returning from last season are Mike Estela (Kendall, NY) and leading scorer Dan Kocyigit (England) who will both serve as the 2010 co-captains.

After a strong year of recruiting by Coach Ken Gavin, the Cougars have two top goalkeepers for the new season in Joe Agerskow (England) and Jack West (England). Looking to protect the new keepers will be a host of new faces including Jeremy Voight (Holley, NY), and Josh Gray (England).

Coach Gavin is very happy with a deep and talented midfield class that includes Kaleo Almeida (Brazil), Peter Keegan (Ireland), Joe Palmer (England), Peter Blackhouse (England), Fernando Chacon (Colombia) and Matthew Bishop (Australia), all competing for time with returning Academic All-American Joe Smith (Albion, NY).

The Cougars will also have tough competition up top as the two captains will be challenged for playing time by returner Djibril Gueye (Senegal), Freshmen Joel Brien (England) and Brady Smith (Australia).

The cougars are looking to have an exciting season with the leadership returning and the natural talent of the newcomers. They open up the season this year against Broome Community College on September 4th, 2010.
