    Program Overview

    National Final Four Participant 2011, 2012 & 2013

    Lacrosse was added to the list of NJCAA intercollegiate athletic teams at Genesee Community College in 2005-2006. The Cougars are now one of 29 community colleges in the country that offer lacrosse as a varsity sport. There are 15 schools within Region III Division III that play lacrosse. The team plays an unofficial season in the fall and competes in over 14 regional games in the traditional spring season. This program has been building each year and is looking to continue doing so. 

    The 2012 season was the team's most successful season going 15 - 4 and making the National Junior College Final Four Championships for the 2nd straight year. Genesee CC also, won it's 1st WNYAC championship. The team has been nationally ranked for the last three years and as high as #4 the last two years. Since 2008 the team has had 5 All-Americans and 3 Academic All-Americans with numerous Region III and WNYAC All-League selections.

    The 2013 season was another very successful season for the Cougars. They tallied a 15-3 overall record and advanced to the National Junior College Final Four Championships for the 3rd straight year. Genesee also won its 2nd WNYAC championship and were the Region III West Champions. The team has been nationally ranked the last four years and as high as #2 in 2013, with big wins over Nassau CC, CCBC-Essex and Suffolk CC. Since 2008 the team has had eight NJCAA All-Americans and three NJCAA Academic All-Americans with numerous Region III and WNYAC All-League selections.
