    Men's Basketball Continues Winning Streak!

This past Saturday the Genesee basketball team headed to Lakeland Community College and fought their way from behind, for the third time in four games, to defeat the Lakers by the score of 78-76.

Once again the Cougars were led by guard Quintin Redfern (Cheektowaga, NY) who drove the lane and hit the game winning layup with only three seconds left in regulation. Redfern finished the day with 21 points and 5 assists, 7 of his points came from the free throw line in the final 6 minutes as the Cougars went 9 for 10 from the charity stripe.

The Cougars fell behind early in the first half, down by 19 points, but showed once again that no lead is safe for their opponents as they fought their way back to bring the game within three points at half-time, 36-33. Genesee would tie the game at 44 early in the second half to complete the comeback and improve their record to 4-0.

Leon Nelson contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Cougars, while Aaron Allen had 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively.

Genesee will next play at Houghton Monday, November, 23rd at 8pm.
