    Men's Soccer Wins Over Niagara

The GCC men's soccer team bounced back in fine style from a 2 game losing streak to beat the Niagara County CC Trail Blazers 2-1. The Cougars dominated from the start and took the lead midway through the first half on Andy Follman's (Lyndonville) precision pass from the back to put Dan Kociygit (England) in for his 6th goal of the season. Soon after the second half kicked off the cougars had their 2nd of the game and again it was Kociygit, this time splitting two defenders before slotting it past the keeper with the assist going to Ger Myles (Ireland).

NCCC pulled one back with 20 minutes to play on a rare attack. The Cougars piled on the pressure with Mike Ziccardi (Batavia), Dalton Smith (Mount Morris) and Ryan Winchip (Fillmore) rampaging down the wings. In the end it was wonder save by Matt Sheffield (Attica) in the last minute that saved the Cougars from conceding a second. The Cougars now move to 5-8-1 with 3 games remaining in the season.
