Men's Soccer Wins Over Corning CC

The Genesee CC men's soccer team beat Corning CC 3-2 in Corning yesterday afternoon. The Cougars opened the scoring midway through the first half on a penalty kick by Gerard Myles (Limerick, Ireland) after Joe Smith (Brockport) was taken down in the box. The GCC men were soon two up on a goal from Dan Kociygit (Stone, England) with the assist going to Dave Farabella (LeRoy). Corning struck early in the second half on a penalty kick of their own to close the gap. Dan Kociygit sealed the win for Genesee CC with a wonderful strike from outside the box to leave the keeper with no chance after a lovely through ball from Ryan Winchip (Filmore). The Red Barons pulled one back but the cougars were never in danger of losing this one.
