The Genesee Lady Cougars fall to Parkland Community College

The Genesee Lady Cougars lost to Parkland Community College (Champagne, IL) in their second round match-up of the national tournament 62-42. The Lady Cougars trailed by 3 points going into the half 27-24 but the Lady Cobras of Parkland controlled the second half 35 – 18. The Lady Cougars were highlighted by a solid performance by Brittany McCray. McCray finished with 19 points and 9 rebounds in playing 32 minutes. GCC will play Community College of Rhode Island on Friday at 1pm EST for the opportunity to play in the fifth place game on Saturday. The game can be seen live on the web at :
