CIS109 - Intro to Web Development
Credits: 3

Catalog Description: An introduction to creating a website including HTML coding and use of dynamic web templates. Not open to students with credit in CIS113 or CIS204; not an approved course for the Web Design degree or Certificate.

Lecture: 3 hrs.

Course Student Learning Outcomes (CSLOs):
Upon successful completion of this course as documented through writing, objective testing, case studies, laboratory practice, and/or classroom discussion, the student will be able to:

1.Create a website with at least four Web pages.*
2.Create a webpage that has at least one internal, external, and email link.
3.Create a webpage that has at least one graphic and text on it.
4.Develop site navigation features.
5.Create a webpage that contains a table.
6.Create a form.
7.Create a layout for a website using dynamic web templates.

* This course objective has been identified as a student learning outcome that must be formally assessed as part of the Comprehensive Assessment Plan of the college. All faculty teaching this course must collect the required data and submit the required analysis and documentation at the conclusion of the semester to the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.
