How many students attend Genesee Community College at Warsaw?
There are currently approximately 300 full and part-time students enrolled in credit courses here at Warsaw. That does not include students who attend a variety of non-credit courses offered through our campus center.
What classes are being offered at Genesee Community College at Warsaw?
We offer many credit courses which may be applied towards a degree from Genesee Community College. We also offer a wide range of non-credit courses for personal enrichment and professional development.
How do I get my books?
Order forms are available at the front office. Book ordering is on a pre-order, pre-pay system. The books can be ordered and picked up right here at the Warsaw Campus Center.
Can I access the library information from the Warsaw Campus?
Yes! The on-line library is an electronic database of information about the library's holdings. The on-line library can be accessed at anytime from any one of 58 personal computers located in the computer lab and study center at the Warsaw Campus Center. The on-line library can even be accessed at home or work via a computer and modem. Some articles are available on screen in full text and can be printed out immediately. Is there a public library that I can use to assist me with my studies?
Yes, the Warsaw Public Library holds a number of reference books and provides SIRS and some Internet access. Visit Warsaw Public Library on the web!
Are tutoring services available?
Free tutoring services are available at the campus center. If a tutor is available for a particular subject, an appointment can easily be made.
Is there someone who can help me with financial aid?
Students desiring financial aid assistance can make an appointment to see the Wyoming County EOC Coordinator, Cheri Clark. The main campus in Batavia will also be able to answer your financial aid questions.
What are some activities I can get involved in?
Each semester a Student Activities group called CACTUS is formed which promotes educational and fun events for the students at the Warsaw Campus. The group creates activities that can be enjoyed with friends and family including the annual summer barbeque. Activities have ranged from Pizza Week, at midterm exam time, to workshops and guest speakers. Check out what's going on this semester on the Warsaw Student Activities wall. There are also many activities and clubs you can join through Genesee Community College's main campus in Batavia.
