Advisement and Registration
Summer '08 courses start June 30, and registration starts February 15. Fall '08 courses start August 25. Registration starts for continuing students on March 17. New students and those with no prior credit can register after March 31. Check your Degree Evaluation on Genesis and even register online. Contact your advisor if you need help.
Academic Advisement is a shared responsibility and you can do your part by being prepared to meet with your advisor.
Before meeting with your advisor, follow these simple steps:
Use GenESIS and prepare for online registration. Print our Brochure (106 KB) (double-sided) for step-by-step instructions.
| Print out a Degree Evaluation. This will show you what courses you've already completed toward your degree and what you still need. If you are unsure of your major or are considering changing your major, try the What-If Analysis. | |
| Review your evaluation and write down any questions or concerns you have regarding your major or course requirements | |
| Look up courses you wish to register for online and decide the days and times you prefer. Read the course description and note any pre-requisites you need. | |
| Use the class planning worksheetand write down the course and section numbers in the appropriate time blocks. | |
| Think about your program electives and write down at least five (5) courses you are interested in taking to fulfill your general elective requirement. | |
| Bring your Evaluation and Class Scheduling Worksheet with you to your appointment, or register online though GenESIS. Be prepared with your student ID number (i.e. 800-00-0000). |
