Google
Scholar @ GCC is a new way of connecting to the library's
full-text resources, using the power of Google Scholar! Google Scholar
provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From
one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed
papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers,
professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other
scholarly organizations. By using Google
Scholar @ GCC, you will be able to access
full-text articles from Genesee's own library databases and journals
directly from Google Scholar search results.
Here's how it works:
First, click the Google
Scholar @ GCC link from here or the library homepage. If
using a non-GCC computer, you will be prompted to enter your GCC network
username and password.
Next, enter your search in Google Scholar.
Then look for results that have the phrase Get Full-Text
@ GCC after the article title:
After clicking the Get Full-Text @ GCC
link, the following screen will appear:
Click the Full-Text link to display the
article.
(If no Full-Text link appears, the article may only be available
via the Genesee Community College Library Print Collection.
Ask a librarian for assistance if you would like one of these articles.)
